Nifty Today : 22 Apr 2008

The Market opened on a subdued note tracking decline in Asian markets. IT stocks were battered after TCS' Q4 March 2008 results fell short of market expectations. The market breadth was strong. It moved between positive and negative zone in mid-morning trade and held firm in early afternoon trade on the back of recovery in some Asian markets. The market clinched small gains to extend its rally for sixth straight session. S&P CNX Nifty closed at 5049.30 up by 12.30 points
