The market opened on a firm note on positive cues from global markets but slipped in the red in early afternoon trade due to selling pressure in index pivotals. The market breadth which was positive till mid-morning trade turned negative. Trading was choppy. Markets recovered again owing to buying in Index heavy weights. S&P CNX Nifty closed at 4739.55 up by 5.05 points
